Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada
|
There are 32,000 inhabitants of the Yukon today. Just over 23,000 of those people live in Whitehorse. It didn’t even exist during the gold rush days, while Dawson boasted a population of 30,000. Today, Whitehorse is the territorial capital (it was moved from Dawson in the 1950s) and the location of many of the Territory’s jobs. It’s also a great place to start getting acquainted with the history of the Yukon and its peoples – and to get stocked up for your upcoming adventures. With the diversity of its nine different regions, the Yukon is an exciting travel destination. Better yet, plan a visit up to the Yukon and experience Canada’s True North for yourself with a guided familiarization trip. More on the Whitehorse Hotel Rooms...
